Legal Aid Ontario (LAO) lawyers are organizing for the right to form a union, an effort that has been ongoing for more than three years.
Legal Aid lawyers are the last group of provincial public sector lawyers to not have collective bargaining rights. Despite the approximately 80% of Ontario’s Legal Aid lawyers who have indicated their unwavering support to achieve collective bargaining rights, Legal Aid Ontario has refused to recognize this Charter right of Legal Aid lawyers.
Come out to a picket with Legal Aid lawyers on Wednesday, July 13 at 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. outside of the Ontario Liberal Party’s Toronto Red Tent Event fundraiser – 55 Bloor Street West, Toronto.
Support Legal Aid lawyers in their fight for fairness and a union!
